Experience

London

  • Researched Performance Art in the Live Art Development Agency.

  • Went to the Vue cinema by myself and saw lots of movies.

  • Fired from Louis Capital Markets.

  • Took photographs and made art.

  • Spent time with Carol, Barry, Willa, Davida, Erik and Liz.

  • Called my friends in New York and told them I was lonely.

  • Followed through on great ideas.

  • Lived my dream.

  • Moved 7 times — my landlord in the last place had a crush on me.

  • Had lots of Thai food. 

 

New York

  • Lived on Saint Marks Place for 25 years.

  • Was an artist the whole time even when I wasn’t making art.

  • Was employed in film, art, finance as an administrative assistant and didn’t like it.

  • Spent lots of time with my best friends—Amy, Ben, David, Fariba, Betsy, Bob and my nieces Kady and Shabnam.

  • Took my laundry down 5 flights and up 5 flights for 25 years wishing I had a washing machine and dryer.

  • Fell in love and had the most devastating breakup of my life.

  • Experienced 9/11 and post 9/11 New York.

  • Witnessed the devastation of AIDS.

  • Aged.

 

California

  • Attended Cal Arts.

  • Experienced intense isolation.

  • Had sex for the first time.

 

Iowa

  • Dropped out of high school.

  • Convinced my mother to send me to high school in Israel.

  • Was kissed for the first time.

  • Had my first boyfriend and first car.

  • Always wanted to try out for cheerleading but was too afraid.

  • Read books until 3AM.

  • Took my first drug and drink.

  • Watched my first snowfall and made my first snowman.

 

The Younger Years

  • Born in Japan.

  • My parents divorced.

  • Lived in lots of places.

  • Had a lot of babysitters.

Skills

I am a very nice person, although on occasion I can be a bitch.

I am generous and funny.

I make people feel welcome.

I am there when people really need me.
