Colin Kaepernick’s simple and humble action, a choice to kneel instead of stand during the National Anthem started a peaceful and powerful movement across this country, and the world.  He risked what he loved most for a higher purpose. His gentle protest cost him his place in football history but gained him a place in the history of civil and human rights.  This is a pure and enlightened form of performance. I had his name printed on an elegant white pair of pants and wore them.  NY, NY
